Would you rather reason against 1 Thomas Aquinas sized Duns Scotus or 100 Duns Scotus sized Thomas Aquinas's?

What's your general opinion on the US involvement in Iraq/ Afghanistan?

Also, how do you spend your time? Before my grandfather passed away, he played a lot of cribbage (apparently it was a popular game in WWII) and volunteering.

"Since Christ died for all, and since all men are in fact called to one and the same destiny, which is divine, we must hold that the Holy Spirit offers to all the possibility of being made partakers, in a way known to God, of the Paschal mystery." Every man who is ignorant of the Gospel of Christ and of his Church, but seeks the truth and does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it, can be saved. It may be supposed that such persons would have desired Baptism explicitly if they had known its necessity.

Not any of the panelists, but I am converting to Catholicism and discerning the priesthood, and it looks like that's where I'm headed, at least right now.

I think part of seminary will be easier for me, as a nice reprieve from an environment currently very lacking in Catholics outside of Church. Which, of course makes it harder to live a good Catholic life.

Telling my mom I want to go to seminary to be a priest though is going to be... Interesting. I'm pretty sure she wanted/ wants me to be a minister in the PCUSA, where I was raised, and she almost had an aneurism when I told her I wanted to be Catholic.

I'm not sure whether I could expect seminary to be more or less challenging than if I had been raised Catholic. On the one hand, I'm practically obsessed with anything Catholic now, but on the other, I'm 16 years late to the party. My Confirmation sponsor had 2 years of formation each for her 1st Communion and her Confirmation. I'm getting 7 months total. Time will tell, I suppose.

Perhaps that gives you some more insight/ answer to your question.
