I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis when i was 3, because my parents said i refused to walk and cried whenever i moved my legs. i had severe inflammation in my knees that went away eventually but when i got an MRI around age 13, inflammation was back in my SI joints. I’ve been on Enbrel since, one injection every week. The inflammation is now only minor a few years later ( i feel it really bad on my runs some days but it’s not that big of an issue) and the doctors told my mom that i could stop taking Enbrel, since i had outgrown my dosage anyways and there wasn’t much inflammation in my following two MRIs. However, my Mom has kept me on the same low dosage of Enbrel that i’ve outgrown because she’s really worried that my Inflammation could come back. Is she too worried? should i stay on medication if my inflammation has gone away?
