How expensive we talking by the way? Is it like crazy expensive? Also is it easy to find work their as a tourist/visitor?

Do you guys make good wages/tips to off-set the costs? I live on the west coast of Canada... so prices here for most stuff is expensive... but when someone says expensive night out I picture like $8+ for beer, $14+ for martini on average.

Do you guys have like cheap places and expensive places? Or is it just all in all expensive?

Also is a lot of the population fluent in English?

How much is a beer/hi-ball (single shot with mixer)/ martini (2ozer) / Fancy drink (1-2oz - mojito, bellini. etc)

On the high/low side if you could compare.

Our low side in Vic.... would be like $4-5, and high side would be $6-$8 unless you got a big pint (english style) and a good beer then it might be like $10 pint.

Also we government controlled liquor in BC... we have private stores that get a small discount when they buy for retail purpose... but the government controls almost all our liquor. It really sucks because I pay $12-$15 for a 6 pack of corona from Mexico (if its still brewed there) and I get a 6 pack of beer from a local literally 6 blocks away brewery for same price.

Martinis Ive seen here are like $9 - $14
