Thanks for the reply! Ive chosen surgery as my career path so I CAN make that kind of impact and Im excited to do so. I love human anatomy and human physiology, the science of the entire body has always fascinated me and I cant wait to learn more!

Unfortunate that we have to get through these standardized tests when I learn very hands on and I could easily, similar to the coagulation cascade you mention, dissect (as biology major, just about anything with ease and tell you almost every muscle and bone), but as for the Lewis Acids and Bases?...

I'm an aspiring surgeon (22yo premed writing the dreaded new MCAT in a couple weeks). What advice would you give to aspiring surgeons? Or what was said to you that has made the hundreds of thousands in debt and years upon years of training worth while?
