Did you start Upstart for money or to have more impact on the world? What end goal do you see for it?

I agree, I was just wondering what was the primary motivation for the start up. I think making an impact and making money go hand in hand. I just feel like most people that do start ups either want to make an impact (their legacy) or make da bling. Positive impact is what I am understanding...

And I like the idea... I would suggest more emphasis on the ideas rather than the people. I get the whole invest in people part (being different from kickstarter), but the idea should be a bit more prevalent on the website.

| I'm about to write a piece about whether or not entrepreneurship actually pays, relative to taking the usual F1000 job.

That would be very helpful... I just started as an engineer at a big tech firm and would like to see how that compares to taking the start up gamble.
