Just my luck! I will be making the move to Texas and am really interested in jumping in the oil industry. I have a couple questions that you probably answered but I want to ask directly.

I have no experience in the oil industry. What's a position I will probably get hired with no experience? I'm really considering getting certified as a welder. Would that help?
How's the schedule and pay for entry level positions?
Are there any on shore companies in San Antonio or are they further south? I don't plan on going off shore.
