What careers are there in mathematics and astronomy? I would love to pursue these fields in depth in school, but are the only careers just being a professor? How common are private astronomy research institutions?

How much anger do you use with disciplin? When trying to train your dog and they run off, how much do you scold them or what alternative do you use? I know of a couple dogs that were treated with intense hostility, not to the point of physical abuse, and the dogs are very loyal and still extremely affectionate. What is your opinion?
