This is why suing corps in the USA is your ONLY form of proper redress. Don't be fooled by the propoganda which says Americans are unnecessary letigious. It's for VERY good reason.

Legislators have all but eliminated corporate accountability from their side. The only side left to do anything is personal injury suits.

Here is an incredible podcast about it:

200%. I hoard episodes. I relisten. I subscribe to the substack. And, I'd totally do the patreon and pay subscriber thing, if I could afford it.

Those two are so damn smart and somehow see things, I never even thought of.

Thank you for doing the hard work and digging into this

Hmm, well I can sure try.

So, like the NYT and other media outlets often talk about sanctioning countries as an economic tool to persuade countries to fall in line. And it's used as a "non-lethal" tool to persuade countries.

However, Neo-liberal ("Neoliberalism, or neo-liberalism, is a term used to describe the 20th-century resurgence of 19th-century ideas associated with free-market capitalism. ... Neoliberalism shares many attributes with other concepts that have contested meanings, including representative democracy." ie: centering capitalism, essentially) doesn't really get to the core of the violence and death that sanctions are.

The NYT will say, for example: "Afghanistan will be sanctioned until Isis is no longer in charge"

Where they're mentioning this as a must do and a simple tool of leverage. But, they won't mention that it causes death, the sale of organs to feed their family, the sale of daughters, the destruction of the entire economy, mass deaths from starvation, etc.

So, what I'm really asking this reporter, who previously was a reporter of "markets", is she going to take the same "hands-off" economic sterility like we see constantly in journalism?

Or,

Is this journalist going to have some integrity and actually tell the truth. As in, center humanity in her pieces and give a real presentation of what is often considered "mere facts bro".

Does that make sense?

I hope I explained myself well. Though, I suspect you're simply sea-lioning anyways and don't really care either way.
