This is probably the best summary on my view of some of the problems in our prisons. If I may, how did you figure out some of this if you're not allowed to fraternize with them?

Sorry for the bad phrasing. How do you find improved feelings of self and purpose in them? I guess the 'no-fraternizing' has me kinda confused, so is it from what they tell you, or do they have feed back forms, or are there evals they fill out?

Hey Sarah! Thanks for doing this AMA. I'm currently serving for a year in Africa. I cook a lot myself, but I've had to be very creative with the limitations of my 'kitchen.' So, my question is what would you cook for lunch, dinner, and snack/dessert using a gas stove only, no fridge, no oven, but some great local produce. Also what would you do with meat?
