Why is rent in Westood so damn high?? College students really out here doing 3 beds/room and still paying over 1k a month...who lives here other than college students?

i think it depends on the state. I grew up in tx. went to ucla and took an american indian history course and all the cali kids never learned about the bording schools for native american indoctrination or even much american indian history beyond the trail of tears. In tx public school 4th grade we were assigned a project where everyone had to research a tribe. In high school I went to a prep school but we learned about the more mature topics. 7th grade we had to write a pper on whether Goliad was a massacre or an execution. US history touched some dark moments in 10th and 11th grade. But these kids from california had no idea.
