How do you feel like your life has differed due to having contracted polio compared to if you hadn't have contracted it?

Thank you for doing this AMA - occasionally I worry about vaccines due to hearing a lot of negatives in the media and even when I read up about how they're false claims, a small voice in the back of my head goes 'What if there is a little bit of truth?' AMAs like this remind me of why vaccines are important and that I need to ignore the media hype for when I have children.

• What did you know about developed westernised countries such as the UK, America, et cetera before escaping?
• What would have happened to you if you were caught while trying to escape?
• Do you know anyone else who has escaped?
• How have you integrated into life elsewhere since leaving North Korea? Where did you go to and did you easily find a job to stablise yourself?

Is there anything that's better or easier about your life now that you're a quadriplegic? I hope that doesn't sound insensitive!

What is the reasoning given to children for detesting the US?

What do you think your family think about you escaping? As you said you would have been killed if they saw you escaping, once you left, is it likely that it would have effected your family negatively? I don't mean to sound inconsiderate, just genuinely curious.
