I don't get the downvotes either. This is neither a disrespectful nor leading question. Mr. Buchanan seems to be pretty solid psychologically, so I doubt that answering this question would be traumatic for him. It's just asking for more info (i.e., do you have to actively think about it to remember the screams, or do they sometimes haunt you regardless?). It would tell us just how bad torture can be over the long-term (or maybe some strong people like Mr. Buchanan can handle it better than others).

My wife and I bought a B&B 13 years ago, and are still going strong. I feel every one of your points in this comment. I do like it when I'm having a beer/wine with guests, and they inevitably ask what it's like running a B&B, especially in the 24/7 context... I tip my beer at them and say "It's pretty rough. In fact <taking a sip> I'm on the clock right now."
We use the OTA's to try to drive traffic to our direct bookings. Between them and AirBnB, we are slowly seeing it become more difficult though.

Oh wow, I didn't make the connection that that was you. I LOVED that scene. Your hand choreography was hilarious. It has been a classic Seinfeld memory for me.

I feel like an old fart (at least here on reddit, and yet I see that I am 4 years younger than you), but Bound is really all I know of your work (other than seeing random pieces of Showgirls forever ago... no more on that). Bound is one of my favorite movies. I'll re-watch it every few years of so when it is on HBO/Showtime or whatever I have at the time.

What has contributed to your longevity, and does a day go by that you do not think about your role in history?
