I think what makes Cash's version better (imo) is the history behind him and his character as "The Man in Black". It pretty perfectly summarizes his pain and struggles he's gone through, specifically with fame, addiction, and his home life. It was also one of his final songs he released before his death, and his last music video he recorded.

Go to Duluth! Lots of different landmarks and sites to see, so much good food (grandma's saloon, cantonese house, pizza luce, the anchor in superior wisc.)

Edit: oh and uncle louies for breakfast! Get the French toast

Never thought I'd see a doctor from the mayo clinic doing an AMA! Very exciting to see it on Reddit. Are you based in Rochester or one of the other campuses?

Hi, I read the book prior to travelling 11,000 solo cross-country miles on my motorcycle last year. I think a lot of what Pirsig says in 'Zen' really hold true to the real thing. The things you feel on a bike that you dont get in a car make it all worth it. The smells, the temperature changes, the rain drops on the exposed part of your wrist between your jacket and glove. It's a lot of little things that as a whole make a beautiful mosaic of senses, feelings, and emotions unlike much else.
