No 5 page report, just an entry form in whatever shitty bug tracking software the company decided to spend $0.00 on that month.

Okay - I've never had the chance to ask someone who can't hear, but can you hear your own thoughts? Like can you think something and hear a voice in your mind talking?

I started my search on Monster.com searching for "video game." that was of course 1999. Now going to gamedevmap.com and looking in your city for companies, going to the website and then clicking jobs or careers will tell you if they need QA.

No you need to purchase the full version of Abobe Acrobat in order for some of the seasoning features to be fully operational.

To give you some perspective, and I am not op so I will happily share the free knowledge of the past, but When I started game testing in 1999 I was getting paid $11.00 p/hr. Sony had a program where they recognized QA as a valid career path... they don't any more, but I was getting paid $14.00 p/hr. After that I went to Midway where they paid $10.00.

From what my friends who have stayed in QA have said, the pay is exactly the same as it was 15 years ago. It only has gone up due to the minimum wage increase.
