I would definitely agree with you about Vietnam. I'm a 6'2" white dude from New Zealand, and I did an internship in Vietnam for a couple of months and when me and the girls from the office would go out for lunch it genuinely looked like I was taking my kids out for lunch because none of them were any taller than, like, my armpits at least (sorry I don't know what that would equivalently be in American people height).

Also, one of my good mates over there was like a whole foot shorter than me and when her and I would talk or anything when we weren't sitting down it was a mission.

I have Structual scoliosis under 45 degrees. I feel for you man. Are you gunna get it straightened through op? And what physio do you have to do?
