I've worked in the oilfield 15 years now. That guy, and all the guys with him, are idiots. You don't hang around during a blowout. You GTFO and let a well control company handle it.

He's flowback. His company might have workover rigs but mainly he'll be dealing with manifolds and separators. Manifolds control the rate the well flows at and a separator separates the flow into gas, oil and water.

Start hitting the web looking for job openings. I know my company was hiring in Odessa and the Austin area recently.
