Do you have any advice for someone who is just getting started in woodworking? Especially one who can't seem to cut a straight line even with a table saw with a fence?

It's pretty apparent it is, and having someone that went from being "head of monetization at YouTube" to being someone that cares about your privacy raises all sorts of flags.

That being said stranger things have happened and maybe this guy found jeebus and wants to atone for his sins.

I resonate a lot with what you say here.

As the tide that is automation continues to progress the real danger, at least in the short/medium term in my opinion is as you say to the world economy and ultimately those most directly affected by this shift.

Your use of the word hope really disheartens me as in my experience the real effect of implementing a tool such as this tech isn't usually considered, only the potential gain. I sincerely hope your hope isn't misplaced, and you and the other real innovators behind this and other similar tech don't end up feeling like Oppenheimer, or for that matter Mitch Taylor and Chris Knight =P
