Hi Kevin! I apologize in advance, I know it is difficult to hear someone's interpretation of what your work "means," but I've found a stunningly beautiful and accurate depiction of bipolar depression in your last few albums, how it affects one's mind and relationships with other people.

Over the past decade your albums have helped me acknowledge and understand my own moods and anxieties. Most recently, I was touched by a particular line in "Triumph of Disintegration:" I had to make myself a monster just to feel something ugly enough to be true. That line summed up years of arguments and confrontations I've had with people who just want to help. I want to thank you for that.

How do you mentally approach the topic of your mood when you sit down to write a song? How has that approach changed over the years?
