There are always certain shipwrecks that captivate divers, but like everything else divers are driven by different desires? Some want to find gold and others want to discover history beneath the sea. The top of my list is an elusive Spanish Galleon I have been searching for for some time.

coins are an everyday occurrence for us when we dive, the most interesting artifacts for me is something of a personal nature. Maybe something someone a few centuries ago held dear to their hearts? Value is subjective, of course we have found valuable artifacts, but that rarely tells the story.

A person who pursues either academic archeology, treasure hunting or commercial archeology brings his own value of ethics to his profession. I have met good people and bad people across the board when it comes to shipwreck searching. Treasure does not make a good man do unethical things, and a man with no ethics, has no ethics no matters what he does. Too philosophical for you?
