It's a process. Even if you don;t get on the ballot, you're making people think about it. If you get on the ballot but don't win, you've raised the level of awareness that much more, setting yourselves and the state up for eventual victory.

There's an urban IT myth that Microsoft said that there was no way to remotely manage Windows servers and you guys came along and proved them wrong in a executable that was only about 150KB (iirc). Care to comment?

They're against it because they can't patent it and they're (rightly) afraid it will eat into the multimillion (billion?) dollar OTC (over the counter, non-prescription) drug market.

I'm of the opinion that little, if anything, is truly secure from a determined adversary. That said, is it possible to really secure a wireless network or am I better off just running anything important through a SSH tunnel?

It's not nearly as bad as the FCC and the telecom (Where not a telecommunications firm!) companies or the banks and the banking (We don't need no stinking regulation!) regulation system.
