Please, please listen to these guys - if you want to never work again, you really need to consider putting the bulk of this cash into a low risk investment and live off the earnings. £300k is not enough, you will soon start eating into it and be left with nothing (think about how bad inflation is going to get in the future - that £20k a year will not stretch far).
