I would have like this AMA much more if a little more time had passed and more facts were known. Right now with the information you're providing it's questionable as to whether this was in fact a hate crime or if it was related to another matter that is yet to be determined.

I realize that the man stabbed you but I don't want to start a witch hunt for him as being anti gay just yet. Additionally, this whole case is still awaiting trial so there is no verdict. One of the main things this is doing is gaining negative publicity for the man who stabbed you and stirring the public into a hateful frenzy over him before the trial has even begun.

How has your views on life changed since you started dialysis/heard you had kidney failure.
