What really astounds me is this mentality, like you wouldn't do THE SAME THING if you were in OP's shoes. If you were living in a third-world country where crime is atrocious, resources are scarce, education and healthcare are non-existent unless you're in the upper brackets... and all you had to do was walk through the desert for a couple of days so that you could make something of yourself, don't tell me you wouldn't do the same thing.
The reality is many that immigrated here legally had a wealthy background, highly skilled parents, or on some sort of refugee/diversity lottery. If you're an unskilled, poor Mexican resident with no family in the USA, the wait time to legally immigrate to the USA far exceeds the average life span, meaning it is virtually impossible.
If someone wants to make a better life for themselves or their family, more power to them.

"While many Americans believe illegal immigrants don't pay taxes, billions of dollars deducted from paychecks issued to undocumented workers flow to the Social Security Administration (SSA) every year. Those workers almost certainly will never see that money again."

I had the pleasure of meeting Neill Franklin at the Students for Liberty Conference in D.C. Ever since then, I have referenced LEAP's videos extensively including your videos, Peter. It amazes me how often LEAP's videos changes someone's opinion on the drug war.
Neill answered all my questions about LEAP, but I just wanted to sincerely thank you for what you do with LEAP and to keep fighting the good fight.

Seeing that Sen. Rand Paul is a Republican that believes in banning gay marriage, foreign sanctions, and domestic drone attacks... I'm guessing he opposes it, but probably chooses not to answer as as not to sling mud.

Does the irony of the term "liberty tax" ever strike you?
