Congrats! As a stage IV sarcoma fighter myself you give me hope! In the process of changing treatment, may I ask what chemo were you on? Right up there with surgeries too, coming up to number 10 in a couple weeks. Best of luck to you!

So sorry to hear about your sister. Sarcoma is such a grueling cancer and sadly still remains a silent one due to it being so rare. I have fibrosarcoma but in the bones. The standard of treatment still remains the same for sarcoma with systemic chemo being the first choice, but some targeted drugs are starting to make an appearance such as Votirent that was recently FDA approved for Sarcoma. Sadly, most of the approved drugs for sarcoma do not yield stellar survival rates and buy you some extra time, unless caught early or have had great success like OP.

I put my body in menopause hopefully as a way to protect my fertility during chemo (I do lupron injections every 3 months). Oh the hot sweats! Never knew your head could sweat that much. Best of luck in your fight!

I can promise you the pain does subside, it just takes a while! I have my C2-C7 fused (due to tumor not accident) and it took a full year before I was completely off pain meds. Have you set off any metal detectors yet? Bed Bath and Beyond seems to be the one place that goes off, just have to show them neck scar.

I'm hoping it works! I am quite lucky though, I have a one year old but would love the opportunity to add to the family in the future. I am on Gemsar and Taxotere for treatment of Sarcoma.
