Hello Dr. Rebecca Katz,

Thank you so much for doing this! There have been conflicting reports as to how long SARS-Cov-2 lasts in the air, and on certain objects. I read some articles saying hours in the air, and 9 days on certain objects at room temperature. Then I read other articles saying it lasts half an hour in the air, and 3 days on certain objects. I'm wondering if you perhaps have an idea on what the averages are for the air and on objects, or if this is something that is still being looked at?

Thank you so much, and have a lovely day!

Hello, thank you all for doing this. Very awesome!

My question: do you know why babies are able to combat this virus? Or perhaps there's not enough info on that yet?

Second question: I've read that due to females estrogen levels, this is perhaps one reason as to why they are less likely to become infected than compared to males. Do you have any insight on that?

Any question answered would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello, thank you for doing this!

I have a question regarding hand hygiene. They always stress washing hands is the best way as opposed to hand sanitizer. If your hands are not visibly dirty, is hand washing still better? Because I know there are some people who don't wash properly or the right amount of time. So if we put those things into consideration, is hand washing still the better option?

Thank you!
