I don't have a question and I rarely do when I read AMA's. Somehow in a stupor I found myself reading your story. To be honest, it cheered me up and warmed my heart. It is amazing what your mom did for you. Your experiences are equally amazing. Your answers and stories are awesome, and do me one favor, when you see your mom, just give her a big ole hug. She sounds like the best mom ever.

It's really amazing, friend. You've done what many have never done, what few have, and what a lot of people want to do. While I love my life here in Chicago, I'd give anything to have the time and effort to travel those countries and live an ounce of your experience! Those experiences are priceless! I'm just old and self-reflective. As for your mom; It takes a strong woman to raise a boy on her own. It takes a stronger woman to raise a boy in so many different countries. That's just respect from me.
