I can't say much because it hasn't been a full year and I signed an NDA with Be The Match, which is The USA's donor program. I was an 8/8 match for a stranger and donated marrow the old fashion way too. In a short but undisclosed time, again I have to be vague for privacy reasons, I'll hopefully get to meet the person I donated to. It was a very positive experience and after the surgery I was back doing physical labour in 10 days. I recommend that everyone goes into their local blood center and registers. It takes ~10 minutes and you can save another person's life.
