Will creatures have equipment/ experience. I think it would be cool if you could loot fallen heros and sometimes find unique gear, or possibly craft your own.

Imagine making a vampiric dagger or something. Heroes attack, kill some of your monster minions and scarper with the loot. Then you shake your gangly disembodied fist at them and vow revengence!

I think this would be a cool feature.

In regard to your Veins of Evil. I was thinking it would be cool to have an Envy vein. I envision it focussing on coveting your opponents stuff, so it would have spells that steal gold or research points from others. Perhaps unlocking thieves to steal things. You may be able to send them out and have them return with babies from local villages to sacrifice or raise as your own dark minions. Or perhaps they could kidnap princesses to keep prisoner.
It was just a thought.
