My comment got removed for not being a question so I'm rephrasing-

Thank you so much for this AMA, you're so patient and considerate and kind in your answers. I'm sorry your communities let you down so badly and I'm glad you're here.

Question: how did you get to be so dang cool?

Bro thank you, it's only been 3 days and I'm already sick of coleslaw

A couple days ago there was a TIL about the guy who discovered phosphorus, how he was boiling enormous amounts of human piss in search of gold, and distilled it. I'm curious if there's any possibility of a large-scale piss-collecting endeavor to distill phosphorus, but I don't know enough about the subject to know if there would be any glaring holes in that idea -- do you think that'd be possible?

How can we differentiate between emotional symptoms as a result of trauma, and emotional symptoms as a result of chemical imbalances?

I ask because I read a lot of accounts where trauma is handled ineffectively. Either the therapist is convinced that the patient is traumatized, and refuses to refer them to a psychiatrist; or the therapist is convinced the patient needs a psychiatrist, and fails to pursue the source of the trauma. How can we get better at this?

I'm curious about social factors on stress, both increasing it and reducing it. Can I ask if your research has found much about co-regulation/the effects of working in groups to reduce stress or trauma symptoms versus working individually?
