I'd recommend taking up leather-working as well if you want to do some really nice pieces. I've known a leather-worker that did work like the props in the SAW movies and in his spare time or on commission there's some wonderful pieces he's made... just begging for some steel plating to make a full set of proper armour.

Do you have any opinions on or dealings with the CCLA (Canadian Civil Liberties Association) or other counterparts abroad? Always wondered if there's a sort of international community for such things.

They never actually said that (To my knowledge, at least) and I never really interacted with them myself, but she was at the time old enough to be aware she got out of a pretty shitty situation back home.

How about this: Every time you mark a perfect test from now on, you write on it "99.999999...%"
Also a real question if it's not too late - Here in Ontario there used to be a so-called 'grade 13'. The standard was just that you did 5 years of high school. It's long gone now, but there's still enough teachers around from then to remember and a lot of them have actually said they were sad to see it go and thought it did students a lot of good to have another year to get their shit together for whatever they do post-secondary. Think it'd be nice for everybody to get back into a grade 13?

I did some dog walking for a fairly wealthy family myself. They had, amongst other things, a pool complete with a waterfall made out of nice stone slabs and a water pump, a lounge with a grand piano, their own live-in nanny, and more. It was pretty off-setting.
Felt bad for the nanny too. They went through three in my time walking for them. (We're talking one every few months.)
One of their kids was adopted from China as an abondoned girl. She was the worst of them. You'd think you'd get some perspective hearing: "Yeah, you'd be dead in a ditch or in a god awful orphanage in rural China right now, but instead you're lavished with all this shit in our house."
No such luck.
She even threatened to lie to her parents to get the nanny fired for refusing her something once. She quit next week of her own accord.
