  1. You should find out if your library participates in OverDrive (eBook lending program).
  2. Try out GIMP or Inkscape if you want to do graphics on a computer. They may not be what you stick with, but they're both free and open source so there's no harm in trying.

Would it be considered bad form for me to take your suggestions too? One of my favorite things to do while riding a bus is just get out a book and read. It's relaxing, and I've been needing some more books to do that with. I'm sure my library has all of those (heck, I'm reading Eragon already).
