Congratulations on being cancer free!

My question: cancer often seems to be talked about as the ultimate bad disease to be diagnosed with. After having it yourself, do you feel that cancer is worse to have that other diseases/conditions?

For medical staff on the floor like drs and nurses, you just wear a N95 mask that filters out all tiny particles, gloves, and maybe gowns that tie in back.

I know way less than I should about finances :(

I have a lot of money just sitting in a savings account.

I'm unsure how much to throw into retirement accounts (I have a Roth IRA and a traditional IRA) and how much to keep available for quicker access. And for THAT money, there must be a better plan for it than in a plain old savings account. What do I do with it without having it locked away until retirement?

(I want available savings for a future down payment on a house and/or grad school.)
