I once briefly had a relationship with an American female who, when younger, had tried out for the USA Olympic female ski team; she came very, very close to qualifying, but did not make the Olympic Team.
She got very depressed after-ward (understandable, as any athlete at that world-class level has to have ego).
Her wise Dad made her up a coffee cup that said "I am in the Top 1,000 female skiers in the entire world" and on other side of coffee cup it said "And I will always love you even if you drop to 1,001 place. Love forever, Dad"
99.99% of the earth simply cannot understand in any tangible level what it feels like to be "TOP 1000 in the ENTIRE WORLD" at something.
EDIT TO ADD: she never used that coffee cup, it was just an item her dad made up to make her smile when she was depressed right after not making the Team.
PS to OP: I am a straight male, but have to say that image was rather unique and something you'll have forever.
ROFL - I can see the T-shirt on your girlfriend now. It says "My boyfriend went to London to try for a Gold Metal, and all he brought back with this Meme Photo"
Or, your girlfriend's FaceBook status: "Learning to deal with the fact that 1 Billion People have seen my BF's penis size"

It's nice to see another person old enough to have fond memories of the original Yahoo! directory; and being simply amazed all of this information was available; and so nicely organized.
The innocent days of the internet.

When you see from the Caller ID it's another telemarketing phone call, answer in your most professional voice any of the below
1) Law offices, to what attorney may I direct your call to ?
2) XYZ Brokerage firm, we are required by Federal Law to record all incoming calls, how may I assist you?
3) Judge Smith's offices, the Judge is in court at the moment, how may I assist you?
4) answer it, get human, and put phone down until you hear the disconnect tone
5) if you are a geek, run Asterisk (a phone software program from the old days); capture the spam caller's caller ID: call-forward to another telemarketing company.
7) Get the human on the phone, say "this call is being recorded, as this is an unsolicited call, the law requires you to state your name, business legal name with address; and if you are calling on behalf of another business, what is their full legal name."
(I've had telemarketers try to tell me I cannot record them even after stating the above; then get scared and hang up).
