You probably have a better vocabulary than I do, but I knew what insouciance meant without looking it up. So, you know, it varies.
I actually think David Carr is an excellent reporter, and if you read his piece to the end, it comes off as pretty fair. Vice is really trendy and is pretty goddamn hipster. He could've toned it down, but it certainly wasn't a one-sided hit piece. He even calls their movies 'wonderful'.
Carr is an interesting character - I like his story and when I read his work, it appears as sound journalism. NYT management agrees. I think his outburst in Page One was misplaced and stupid (I suspect were you to ask Carr now, he'd agree), but that's not a good reason to write-off all of his work. Heck, I bet even Shane would agree that Carr is a strong reporter.

Disagree. 'Best' is awfully subjective and vague in the first place. Historic context is at least more quantifiable. He's answered specific questions (who is nicest) in other answers. Lesson: Be specific.

This claim about fission and fusion is absurd. It's not a complex abstraction - it takes a sentence or two in a basic textbook. Of course she understands the difference.
Your professor's question was invidious and stupid. Any reasonable person would ignore it. Professor of being a lame dick, that's what. Flying her family to NYC could have been done for any number of reasons and doesn't invalidate her positions promoting systemic large-scale changes.
I'd never heard of Klein before this AMA. No dog in it beyond correcting sour "engineering" dolts.

Yeah, I can't tell if this is the same person/ people that did this same AMA a few months ago, or a different company. Last time it was a couple, but the possessive here keeps changing from I to we.
I mean, they didn't say "we're back for another", but the website seems the same. Same advice. Same apartment story. Seems weird. Maybe the last time was good advertising.

This is kind of a confusing answer. Is there a rational explanation for the cherry picking? Or is it because God is called 'personal' and doesn't have a single definition?
