Why does Metra even mark the ticket in the first place? If it's to make it so you can't let you wife borrow your pass, then that's ridiculous.

But, who cares? I purchased a ticket for unlimited rides, for one person, to take Metra. Why does it matter if I give it to a female member of my family to use for a day? I never understood that.

On most of my morning trains I've been on, they won't even check tickets until they picked up the last stop before going to Chicago.

I always thought how easy it would be to ride the train for free if you worked in a suburb on the line.

I'm not arguing if Metra has a policy about monthly passes, I know they do. I'm just arguing that the actual policy, in my view, doesn't make sense.
