I totally agree! I have two house rabbits who have free reign of our home. In fact, one of them is sniffing around my feed right now and most likely about to nose boop me for love.

Just info for others: /r/rabbits is a great place to see how some bunnies live and how then enrich many of our lives. The House Rabbit movement, though not new, is rather unknown to many people. With more freedom rabbit personalities can really shine.

One of our daredevil buns loved diving off the top of our tv about 5 feet onto our couch and would do it repeatedly and then binky around. We had to block off his access so he wouldn't get hurt. He had to find other ways to get his thrills.

When it comes to rabbits jumping...the only reason they don't jump over every gate, piece of furniture or into weird places is if they don't want too. I have seen some serious air from rabbits. Both of my rabbits are getting older and they are slowing down, but DAMN can they still bing all over the place.

If you ever consider rabbit agility as a hobby (or even in competitions) some rabbits adore it. Especially if they are the more dare devil variety.

Indeed, I'm boggled because I have a lengthy CV just from undergrad. I suffered from the "Just at every opportunity and never say no," situation. Heck, I was TA and student mentor too. I helped students write their resumes and letters for grad school and saw them get in with doing much less than I did. Insert "Fuck me, right? Gif." It is a tough field, but I can't help but be personally pissed when I went above and beyond expectations and can barely find shovelbum work.

I personally pretty much gave up on academia but CRM...I dig, literally. I am finally living in an area with a ton of work, but I'm just not getting picked up. The longer time goes on, the less likely it is anyone is going to look at me. I might have to go back to school for something else since at this point it's nearly 2 years with almost no work. That really makes me sad since this is what I want to do.

I am resubmitting since Auto-Mod cock/post blocked me.

I worked on an archaeology site with a 72 year old guy who, upon retiring, went back to school for archaeology because it's what he always wanted to do. Cool guy.

I wish you the best of luck! I am struggling in archaeology and had played by all the rules. I would normally tell people who go into it to "Turn back now!" I totally get the lure of archaeology. I wanted to do it since I was a child.

So as someone in the field who is failing miserably right now...what tips would you give? In short, perfect grades, experience in the US and UK, papers galore, presentations and conventions galore. But I am just not getting working. On top of it, I didn't even get into grad school (at least none in the US, but every single one over seas) despite being told I was in perfect shape to get accepted. My own advisors and the professors I was in contact with at the schools I applied to were...shocked that I didn't get in. So I'm pretty much at a loss.
