I don't know why, but this made me laugh so hard. Working in the office, the decision of: "Do I call his desk phone, message him, or do I walk sixty feet to go talk to Bill in Sales?" comes up way too often.

My dad used to cheat in everything. House rules was nothing is cheating unless you get caught.

Later in life, I learned that my dad was teaching me the lesson that those house rules are actually the rules everywhere.

Or he was just a cheater.

At then end of the day though he can go to a bar where women outnumber the men though. That counts for a lot.

When you're operating on a system that works and is needed to keep hundreds of millions of people from dying from winter, the proof of concept is needed for the replacement system. Asking people to prove that a mission critical system replacement won't work is like asking somebody to prove that the rubber o-ring won't freeze and blow up the Challenger.
