While I don’t agree with that type of prohibition, as it isn’t endorsing a particular candidate, I can understand how the perception is. It puts poll workers in a difficult spot.
If that’s the case, there should be massive communication on social media to not wear this type of gear to the polls. I’d hate to see people turned away at the last minute.
It’s a shame that support for equal rights is seen as a political statement. If it was a “Free Tibet” shirt, would I get the same treatment?
