Poor work environments (poor any environments, really) will foster poor attitude. If you don't realize creating a poor environment is going to cause your employees to care less about their job, and will breed shitty work ethics and attitude, i hope you never have people that work under you.

That's not just a problem with edibles, even Marinol, which pill for pill should have exactly the same amounts of THC, can have wildly different effects depending on a multitude of variables at the time of taking them.

My buddy who had them prescribed for his cancer treatment used to call them 'pot roulette', in that you never knew if a pill was going to hit you in 20 minutes or 4 hours, and you didn't know if it was going to give you a slight buzz or completely put you on the floor. He far preferred smoking as he could take exactly as many puffs as he felt he needed, rather than popping the Marinol and hoping for the best.

A fest like EDC with 100k+ people a night, it's really just a numbers game for your potential to run into a scumbag. Overall the crowd vibe is amazing, but there are absolutely pickpockets, people spiking drinks, and walking around the thick parts of crowds groping girls. But the crowd in general doesn't stand for nonsense when it's called out.

I've never seen an actual fight at EDC, but i've seen groups of big dudes physically carry a struggling dude out of the crowd and to the police near the back of the stage because he'd tried to grope a couple girls. I saw someone collapse from heat a few years ago in the middle of the crowd, as soon as they went down the crowd opened up a path out, people immediately rushed to help them, got them water and ice, ran out to get medics, and the whole crowd around made a flashlight path with their phones to signal to the EMTs where they needed to go.

HARD Summer is another EDM festival, and those crowds are absolute trash compared to the EDC crowd. Fights breaking out everywhere, people collapsing from drug overdoses and everyone around them just acting like nothing happened. I'll keep going back to EDCs as long as my knees and back can take it. I'll never go to another HARD festival.

A couple years ago most of the SoCal raves had people passing out "Consent is Sexy" cards with pointers on what is and isn't acceptable behavior, and a number to call if you're being harassed. I think the 'Respect' part has made some positive strides in the last few years. Totally different vibe from when i first started raving in the mid aughts, rave booty jokes notwithstanding.
