Do you think we should hold parents criminally liable for not vaccinating their children if it's found that their child has transmitted a debilitating or deadly disease?

Given that unfathomable amounts of easy to understand data is readily available at the touch of a few buttons, is it not at least criminally negligent?

I did a little research for another post regarding anti-vaxxers. Turns out that less than 1% of the population give birth at home. This means that a vast majority of people give birth in a hospital or clinical setting surrounded by trained medical professionals that they can ask for information regarding the well being of their child. It seems to me that it would be nothing short of criminal negligence to not take advantage of these sources of information.

Anyone that thinks you're not good looking has a screw loose somewhere.

One error in your post that I should point out:

The majority of Amish parents do in fact vaccinate their children. and the minority that doesn't, do not vaccinate for the same foolish fears the anti-vaxxer crowed claim. The rumors that the Amish do not vaccinate and are therefore healthier was started by idiotic anti-vaxxers based on unsupported claims by other anti-vaxxers.

Is that child really going to be going out and about spreading potentially fatal diseases at 6 weeks old? Again, doctors, who have a tendency to be far more educated than the general public, set up vaccination schedules for a reason.

If an educated doctor is an anti-vaxxer then they should be stripped of their medical license just like the moron that started this whole anti-vaccination crusade was. And if a patient of theirs dies or spreads a debilitating or fatal disease, they should be charged with criminal negligence right along side the parents.
