you don't put premium in a car until your car needs premium, he's already done great work already, getting insight from any sort of psychedelic substance, while possibly valid or even great for science (if such an insight is truly revolutionary), it's far from what someone in his position (or any position in academia) should be doing.

It sucks, it's slow, but discovery has a method, and while sometimes extraordinary measures can be taken to further that understand, painstaking decades and centuries of research are what solidify such extraordinary discoveries.
