Reichsflugscheiben

Does that mean there will be no Valkyries, Space Zeppelins, or other craft from the first film? What about the Nazi Moon Fortress and the Götterdämmerung?

Actually, the VFX artist had a great deal of autonomy. The overall look and feel was very much to do with Jussi Lehtiniemi and of course he deserves great praise for his art direction. Certainly he is one of the finest illustrators I have had the pleasure of working with. However, because of the lack of a design team, the VFX artists were given a good deal of freedom to design stuff themselves. This was then approved by Jussi. For instance the GW Bush main weapon was based on The US Navy's Rail Gun. I designed and developed the weapon on the film because I had to rig and animate it from it's folded up position within craft and then reveal it as one of the money shots in the film. I worked closely with Jussi to do this but I actually did the work. :) I did the Valkyrie Hangar Scene too for the Directors cut. I was also responsible for the team that built the Götterdämmerung. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RL6DR7d73s Trevor Baylis. Maya 3D Technical Director for the film Iron Sky 2012.

Make sure you have a 'clean chain of title' and keep control of your Intellectual Property management. Otherwise you will struggle for errors and omissions insurance and distribution. ;)

It wasn't just Samuli. Think about Kelly Myers and the Lightwave team. Also myself (Trevor Baylis) and Risto Puukko along with the other guys Pyry Parkkola, Seb Barquin, Erkko Huhtamäki, Toni Kontio and Juhana Ylitolonen. Dynamics by Janne Suhonen. Texturing by Kimmo Lemetti. Art and concept direction by Jussi Lehtiniemi. See the Iron Sky credit role for the others ;)
