If you are able to grab the binary that gets installed from the phone you can compare them. You would build a binary from the open source version and do a hash comparison to the one on your phone/from the App Store.

What sort of materials are used for 3D printing? I'm aware that its mostly (if not all) plastic, but if I understand correctly, there are different types. Are there any pros and cons between materials?
