What would you think about a system (like Australia's) that makes voting mandatory?

Well, just my two cents, but it can change the mandate the president is given upon entering office. If the president were to say... win the electoral vote but lose the popular, he would have a lot of baggage with that implication.

If people stop voting because of the electoral system, it doesn't give as much of an indication of what was really going on.
