Not to take away from this but James Iha is a class act. For Voodoo 2004, we got backstage passes and he was touring with A Perfect Circle. When we got backstage, we saw James and Twiggy chillin at a bar. My friend walks up to them (has no clue who they are, really) and mentions how I'm fan of Smashing Pumpkins, Marilyn Manson, etc. BTW most people from the local news station and the radio station at the time that put on the show were allowed back there -- so it wasn't like Voodoo now where you just pay more to go backstage and most artist just hide in their trailers). Needless to say, they tried to make it more social and I think gave the appeal that anyone in the backstage area wasn't an annoying "OMGZ" fan so most people associated with musicians or the musicians themselves were overall cool.

I go over and can't speak but it's legit. Eventually I talked to James about Infinite Sadness and how Adore (IMO) was underrated (at least in the New Orleans area). Twiggy didn't want to talk much about his time with Manson but was cool about things. I got some free beers out of it, seemed like forever but my friend said it was about 10 minutes. James was really down to earth and didn't like the hype get to him, from what I could tell. Twiggy was cool but was eyeing the bartender.

One question I remember for James was what's it like dealing with Maynard. His reply was "I deal."

Odd fact also -- James Iha never got a call for the Smashing Pumpkins whenever Billy tried to reform the band.

What diet did you use? I'm currently doing low-carb which is great. Question though is how were you "near-death"? I started this diet at 316.8 (dropped about 20 pounds so far in 9 weeks) and my blood pressure is only slightly elevated. I realize it is different for everyone. I'm just curious, I'm not trying to call you out or accuse you of lying. But that is great progress, you should check out /r/keto if you haven't :)
