Yep! I worked on a product at IBM that created a "device fingerprint" to help detect when an unknown device had logged in. One of the best identifying pieces of information is the list of installed fonts.

For those curious, check out https://amiunique.org/ which shows just how identifying single pieces of information can be. Certain pieces of information are obviously not browser specific, which allows you to be identified cross-browser when used together (like 20 questions).
