Can you explain more about the situation in the video? Was this a rally in support of feeding the homeless?
Were you face to face with any police officers during your protest and if so, did they "get the joke?"
Have you protested any other events like this in the same way?

Another very good point. My father's best friend left during his Rumspringa, yet maintains close ties to his Amish family. He wanted the lifestyle of the modern man, yet he said many of his peers missed the sense of belonging and community they had back home. For example, if you should fall ill or get injured, the church covers your medical bills so you don't have the stress of worrying about money in that way. If you need to build a barn or plant your field, everyone in the community comes together to help and it gets done in no time with a celebratory atmosphere instead of a dragging work day. I think future modern civilizations could learn from this community model.

My entire family is from Indiana, and I'm actually living there right now. The Amish I encounter at local farmer's markets or during a drive in the countryside are incredibly friendly and welcoming people. My Dad's best friends father came from an Amish family and whenever we go and visit I am amazed at how happy and intelligent they are.
