I read "giant testicles." I hope Matthew misreads that the same way I did.

Out in the wild (bars, cocktail parties, the DMV) what is people's reaction when you tell them what you do for a living? In a given 10 instances, how many go fangirl on you (like us) and how many times do you get a puzzled stare?

At some point /u/adventursaur is going to read Matt's reply to him and feel like someone who had the winning lotto ticket and missed the "redeem by" date (if that exists)

Daily tearaway calendar with comments would be hilarious.

I also heard that somewhere that there's never been a documented incident of a hammerhead killing a person, /u/rozilla. Wiki says there have been 33 attacks to date but 0 fatalities.

In the show I was watching, they theorized it could be attributed to the fact that hammerhead sharks have 2 special senses, one of which allows them to sense other animals' muscle movements include heartbeats. The theory was when hammerheads approach humans, obviously the person gets scared and that increases their heart rate, then the shark senses that and gets freaked out so he bolts.

I'd imagine if hammerheads were a danger to people, getting the sense their prey is in fear would only heighten their instinct to attack (though that hasn't seemed to have been the case).
