The amount of stress you carry isn't/shouldn't be based upon your profession - it should come from you personally and how you handle/deal with things. If I switched to a janitor/dishwashing position my stress levels would SOAR than me sitting in a nice comfy chair doing IT work for decent money. Not on the job stress, but low pay means I'm now scraping everything together for life's necessities - and all of those fun things I enjoy doing (PC gaming, mountain biking, snowboarding) is now out the window as I can't afford them anymore.

I am an, uh, aspiring butcher as well and would also like to know.
