You didn't finish answering the question that included oligopolies. I mean, you'd be hard pressed to find a true example of a perfect natural monopoly in today's regulated economy, but you must agree that there are still oligopolies around?

Or do you simply not care? Would you rather stick to your Austrian economics and give up "liberty" for the sake of non-interventionism?

I've never understood why they don't provide .debs or .rpms. I personally use the distro build for obvious reasons, but whenever I want to use the latest version I'm stuck with a folder full of binaries, instead of an actually installed program. I think it would be encouraging to Linux users to use their build if they provided a bit more integration with package managers.

Wow, thanks for the incredibly enlightening comment. As a hearing person I have literally never thought about any of the issues you touched upon. Now I can begin to understand some things about deaf culture that I did not before.
